Prompt: Recall a time when you found yourself competing against other people in which no one person (or group or team) had any particular advantage against the rest. What strategy did you choose to follow and what factors led you to decide on that strategy? How did things turn out, and what were the main factors contributing to that outcome? What, if anything, would you do differently today if faced with a similar situation?

The goal of getting you to think about your personal experiences is to help you empathize with historical figures.
