Write why is that a problem in the juvenile justice.

Choose a juvenile justice problem and/or policy and write a five-page paper describing and exploring that problem/policy, drawing on course readings, resources provided on Blackboard (under "resources"), government/ policy reports, and/or scholarly articles.

Note: Press releases or media articles about your subject may help you do background research, but cannot be used as a primary source.

Each paper must draw upon and cite no fewer than three of the above-named sources, using APA citation style (https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/10/). This involves in-text citations and a list of works cited at the end of the paper.

Describe the problem or policy. When was it identified or developed? By whom? Why? Who does it affect? What is the size and scope of the problem? What are the consequences? What is known about the effectiveness of the policy? What recommendations have been made for changing/addressing this policy or problem, extending/ expanding the policy, or future research?

In the assignment, draw on evidence (research, data, facts).

Develop a ‘meaty' paper that is based on evidence, not a ‘fluffy' paper based on personal experience or opinions.

Avoid ‘word bloat' or unnecessary words included just to pump up your word count

The minimum word limit for the paper, excluding list of works cited, is 1,250.

Formatting instructions: Paper should have a short title that gives the reader an idea what the paper is about. Use double-space with 1 inch margins and page numbering. Make sure you pay attention to citation style, both in the text and in the list of works cited.
