Introduction:

Last WebQuest we learned about "virtualized Desktop", This WebQuest will introduce the student to "Virtualized Servers". Students will learn about VMware and how this software is used for virtualization of servers. What is "Virtualized servers" mean? What does virtualization of a server mean?

While we hear about cloud computing, desktop virtualization has become a wave in IT on how to deliver computer servers and deliver access to applications to users within their organizations.

Take this opportunity to explore about this technology and let me know about what it is and in your opinion on what are components an IT organization uses to install virtualized servers and deploy IT applications using virtualized servers, etc.

The matrix activity will include comments by each student describing the advantages or disadvantages of VMware's virtualized servers solution, the Web site where they found the information, and their own findings regarding the practical usefulness of Virtualized servers.
