"The HR Consultant" 

You have been hired as an HR consultant, by "Company X". (Your current employer or selected organization). 

You are an authority in human resource management practices. You have distinguished yourself and your firm through your ability to identify specific human resource practices and initiatives that increase performance and profitability. While your experience spans the entire HRM arena, you specialize in associate engagement; high performance work systems; and state of the art practices in organization design, staffing, performance management, training and development & reward and compensation systems. 

Your client is in the midst of a transformation designed to secure the future of the organization for the next 3 to 5 years. Your client has requested that you submit a proposal, not exceeding 2500 words. Your proposal is to outline a series of HRM practices that will enhance shareholder/stakeholder value within the organization. 

Your client will be evaluating your proposal using the following criteria:

1. You are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of all of the human resource areas covered in the text.
2. You are expected to summarize the comparative value of investing in each of these areas in relationship to the current business practices/environment within your selected company. (i.e.: the value of introducing a new "360" evaluation system.) 
3. Based on this analysis, you are to identify and recommend the introduction/ adoption of new HR practices in four strategic areas. 
4. It is your responsibility to describe why these areas have been recommended and their intended contribution. 
5. You are likewise expected to comment on why the remaining areas WERE NOT included in your proposal. 
6. Going the extra mile, you are expected to recommend a plan for introducing the four strategic initiatives. 

It is your responsibility to provide a meaningful and insightful recommendation that incorporates key findings and lessons learned during the course. The text; personal research; supplemental readings; individual and team presentations; class activities; plus class discussions are to be used to support and convince the reader of your position.
