Suppose that you work for F.E.M.A. or the Department of Homeland Security. In light of the issues brought up by Hurricane Katrina, prepare a report in which you investigate the Federal government’s planning and response to hurricanes. Make recommendations for appropriate future actions in regards to future hurricane threats.

The format of your Recommendation Report should include the following sections: Cover Page (APA style), Abstract (a brief summary of the report), Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, Recommendations, References Page (in APA Format).

You must include research sources, with at least 5 legitimate academic sources that are available outside of a specific company (you may use websites sourcses, such as irgc.org/wp-content/.../04/Hurricane_Katrina_full_case_study_web.pdf‎. In addition to this, you may use information that is available only within a company. All research sources must be properly cited via APA format. This will require both in-text (or “parenthetical”) citations AND a References page.

The minimum length of this report is 5 complete pages from “Introduction” through “Recommendations” with each new section beginning after one blank line, not each on their own page. Beyond these 5 pages, you must have separate pages for a cover page, abstract, references pages, and any necessary graphics or appendices. If you include any graphics within the body of the report, you must compensate for the space used by these graphics to make for the equivalent of 5 complete pages of text.

You must use 1 inch margins, double space, and use a font of Times New Roman 12.
