Can someone help fix my paper where it flows better, correct grammar, and give a better conclusion?
Master’s industrial internship program at the University of Oregon
Today, December 9, 2013, I attended my last final lecture for the semester. Todays, lecture was on the Master’s industrial internship program offered at the University of Oregon. The presentation was an impromptu lecture, which was presented by University of Oregon program coordinator Lynde Ritzow, and ---- university alumni Luke Hanson. Program coordinator Lynde Ritzow, begin the lecture by giving a less than five minute quick over all of the four specialized program offer at the university of Oregon, before giving the floor to --- university alumni Luke Hanson.
Luke began, his presentation, by telling current --- university students about his time at --- university before transferring to the University of Oregon. During his speech, he told students that he was an alumnus of the school, and he was chemistry major, with an Infosys in biochemistry. He went on to tell the class that once he had graduated for ---- university, he didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life, and his degree in chemistry. He told us that he had discovered Master’s industrial internship program at the University of Oregon, by going to lecture, like the one he was giving. After, going to a similar lecture on the Master’s industrial internship program at the University of Oregon, he applied to the school, and majored in polymers & coatings. He later gave a breakdown on how the program works. The program is a 54 credit hour semester based program that is 16 credit hours which is taken in the summer, 30 hours of internship over nine months, and 8 hours to be completed at the student convenience. He stated that student are required to take a 16 credit hour load at the beginning of the program, either in the February or in the summer. The remaining required 8 credit hours can be taking while student are on a nine month internship, after, or before internship. The way that the program is designed, if student take the remaining 8 credit classes while doing their internship, then the will finish the program in a year and a semester, or else you will finish in 2 years. After telling us how the program is structured, he them told us about his internship.
Luke, interned at Bend research facility for nine months studying, how to make powered compound into pharmaceutical drugs. He said having this internship was a dream. While was at Bend Research, he said that his had some fun with task that were given to him such as turning oil into a tire, and reverse creating bottle. He said he had learned a lot about how to applying biochemical back ground into creating a doing reverse creation of previous products. He said by the end of his internship, he returned the University of Oregon, to get job assistance, where he went on several interviews in a days’ time, which he wasn’t successful at getting, but his last interview he went on he nailed. The job he got was his dream job, and that was at Bend Research, where he had interned at. Final, after telling us about his job experience, he opens the floor for questions.
In conclusion, even though the lecture was an impromptu lecture, I really enjoyed the lecture. The part of the lecture which Luke briefly discussed internship, was quite interesting, to me because, I myself wants to go into pharmaceutical making career. The lecture, also made me think possible going to the University of Oregon to study polymers & Coating, so that I can get a pharmaceuticals job. All in all, I enjoyed this lecture.
