3. Title -Should be succinct and to the point describing what the project is about. It is generally a one sentence statement.
4. Introduction -Provide an overview of the main points to be covered in the report and a concise outline of the paper content and structure.
5. Research Question-This should be one sentence clearly stating the overall or general aim of the project i.e. what does your project aim to achieve
6. Objectives-Objectives are short statements in point form which define the limits of the project, essentially stating what you are going to achieve.
7. Rationale- This section should provide background information to the topic and indicate the significance of the issue. It should also advise on why this project was being undertaken.
8. Methodology-This is an overview of how the project objectives will be achieved. It briefly describes the components of the project and the procedures that will be followed. It is essential to the smooth running of the project.
9. Timeline-Develop a list of project tasks and the dates for completion to demonstrate how the project will be completed within the semester.
10. Literature Review -A review of the most current and relevant literature to indicate that you have read in the area and are able to identify key elements in the project. For the final this will include The scope of the problem (this could include: mortality, morbidity, trends, distribution, who affected, cost of the health issue, state, national and international burden, comparison with other health issues, impact of social determinants) and:
o Related risk and contributing factors
o The health promotion potential or public health impact (existing program interventions, future direction of interventions, projected benefits)
11. Recommendations-Provide recommendations from the literature for policy, practice or research. This may include areas for future research (questions still unanswered, possible benefits from this research, potential support for such research)
12. Conclusion-Summarise the issues and discuss the main conclusions arising from the information you have presented in your report
13. References-These should be extensive-minimum 40 references, using endnote. The above is a guide only and will vary depending on the topic and guidance of your supervisor.
