American dream in our case is defined as the ability to move forward in life by being able to reach milestones, including materialistic earnings, as well as moving forward being associated with a peaceful and nurturing/diverse nation -mobility - the American dream has been centered as the dream and goal to one day be able to achieve some type of success. money being but one way to reach that success. However millennials and young adults have come to find that achieving monetary or financial success has become increasingly difficult and for some, completely unattainable. People are striving to reach levels that surpass what they were given as children to "live a better life" but are not having much success as economic growth decreases. there has been an ongoing decrease in mobility, meaning that there is a decrease of growth from generation to generation with regards to finances.

However more than ever we see that the process of becoming a U.S citizen is a tedious and expensive process that can take several years to complete.

The application to initiate the process alone has restrictions that don't adhere to everyone. Many simply do not have the money to go through the process to begin with or the time when the process takes has taken a lot of it. On the other spectrum, those who have successfully become citizens still suffer from scrutiny amongst those who are "native born" or those who have a bias against these individuals.

Many come to America to be a part of the diverse and welcoming culture but time and time again America has failed those people by bullying or shaming/disgracing them based on their race and beliefs.

Overall we can see that the infamous "American Dream" has been alluded with materialistic possessions and acceptance but has also been proven to be unrealistic with the true economic and social climate that circulates within the U.S and its culture.

It is evident that America has proven to be a hostile place or environment for many who immigrate or even those who attend American schools, attend local events and do even the simplest things like go out for coffee.

We can see that there is a lesser call for diversity and racial slurs have become increasingly commonplace and many have suffered the repercussions.

Likewise the ability for millennials and young adults to achieve major and popular milestones has decreased over the years due to a decreasing economic growth and increasing prices in college education that often leave people in financial crisis'.
