This part of Module 4 addresses present and future issues and trends to think about and address as we continue to move to this method of training and education.

Objectives:

1. Discuss issues and trends and how they may impact the future of distance learning and training.

2. Identify IT's role related to these changes.

3. Discuss how user support management will change as these trends impact delivery of online training and education

Activity:

1 Of the seven trends listed in the Pandey article, which 2-3 do you see as having the biggest impact on distance learning? Why? Support that with an article or two.

2 In the IADL article, it lists several advancements and changes we can expect for online learning. Select 3 of them and discuss how this will impact IT and your role.

3 Of the 8 corporate eLearning trends listed in the Pappas article, which 2 do you think will have the most impact on corporate training. Why? Support that with an article or two. What type of support will be needed from IT to make this work?

4 Go to YouTube and find a great video on how augmented and virtual reality are already impacting the training and educational world. Why do you think this was a great video?
