•Create effective navigation for the application or site.
•Integrate multimedia effectively.
•Use internal, external, and anchor links in the application or site.
•Demonstrate the plan for testing.

Submit your application or site in a compressed .ZIP file or folder. Include all runtime executable and source files. Identify what file should be loaded (.INDEX or .DEFAULT) or run (.EXE) first, or provide a document narrating the approach to running the application.

Project Description

Huffman Trucking is looking to improve on the way that the company and customers track current and completed orders. This includes the customer sales order, tracking service, and bill of landing signature. By creating a system that will allow the company to track the orders to see where it is in transit and also estimated time of delivery, and confirmation of delivery. The goals is to give the customer more access to the status of their orders online and also for the company to have real time access to orders and delivery.

Measurable Organizational Value (MOV)

The project is to create a system that will achieve the goals of the company in reference to the order and delivery system. The new system will give the organization and customer's real time order status and confirmation on delivery with signature.

Project Scope

The system will achieve the company's goals of providing real time tracking of orders and deliveries. The project will be completed over six months. The new system will provide customers piece of mind and trust.

Project Schedule Summary

The project will start on January 31, 2015 and end on July 31, 2015. The first phase of the project will consist of the conception and initiation of the project, second phase will be the planning, third phase will be the launching of the project, fourth phase task mangers will update and compare the timeline and objectives to remain on schedule. The final phase is the completion of the project ready to put forth the finish product to management.

Project Budget Summary

The total estimated budget of the project is $400,000.00 to include any unforeseen setbacks. Hardware for the project cost $100,000.00, the design for the project $100,000.00, employee salaries cost $100,000.00, total cost of equipment and personnel of maintenance is $50,000.00, and cost for installing system across the company along with training and training material for employees is $50,000.00.

Required

6 IT personnel and 2 supervisors. Facilities will be provided by the company's empty offices located in Cleveland. A small portion of the system will be created by an outside company called IT Solutions.

Assumptions and Risks

One aspect that may become an issue is the time line of the project. The goal is to complete the project in 6 months. If the project is not done the current the customer sales order, tracking service, and bill of landing signature system will fall behind while every other system within the company is upgraded. The project will help the company continue to grow and provide excellent and trustworthy service to existing and potential customers.

Project Administration

Upper management will communicate to the project manager who will oversee the supervisors and ITY personnel involved in the project. Any change request forms will be given to the project manager who will analyze the effects of the changes at will impact the system. During the project after every completion of an objective it will be tested and re tested for any issues.

Implementation and Continued Maintenance and Project Closure Plan

With the new system it will easily integrate the current data from the old system with only a 24 hour downtime. After a 2 day training on the new system for employees, the new system will be launched at the Cleveland office first, after a week of service then the additional sites will launch the new system. The project team will remain active for 3 weeks after the new system is launched, the IT department will take control of the maintenance and provide support to all the system users. After the turnover of the maintenance of the system to the IT department the project will be closed with a full and documented report of each phase of the project to upper management by the project manager.
