I work in home healthcare, so by the time 2027 comes around, healthcare is going to be so much more then it is now.
Collaboration is important to the health care system because it helps spur collaborative teamwork. Well-coordinated collaboration across medical professions in home health care has the potential to allow for more comprehensive, population-based, cost-effective patient care and a new emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention, which will be essential in meeting ongoing health care challenges.
Technology is currently critical to home health care. Future advances in home health care technologies have the potential not only to facilitate the role of home health care within the overall health care system but also to help foster community-based independence for individuals. Electronic technology will also improve efficiency and as the technology improves, the information deriving from patient care will improve.
It's now going to be long before technology forms the foundation of everything that we do in home health care from patient monitoring via wearable devices to home health software that allows for more efficient and cost-effective care. Mobile and digital technology is becoming more widely accepted to coordinator and deliver care.
