Create and/or update your professional resume and cover letter. Your resume will reflect your current professional objectives, experience, skills and education and will be customized to obtain a job in the WWHP field. Your cover letter will be for a specific job in the field; you can use a posting from the web, newspaper or from our database of jobs.

• Prepare a professional cover letter that is no more than 1 page in length
• The information in the cover letter must be customized to the job that you are applying for
• The job posting must be attached
• If you don't know the contact information/details, you can make it up

• Prepare a professional resume that is no more than 2 pages in length
• Ensure that the resume is relevant to the Workplace wellness and health promotion(WWHP) profession (i.e. remember that skills are transferrable and what you have done in other jobs, school and volunteer positions can have relevance in this field)

Tips:
• Follow the guidelines from the presentation and resource materials
• Make sure that you include ‘Results'-Remember you are selling yourself
• Quality of paper and printing is important
• Spelling, Grammar and Formatting are VERY important-make sure you have it checked/reviewed appropriately with the Career Centre and/or English tutors
• Resumes and cover letters with more than 5 errors (spelling, grammar, formatting etc.), will be returned to students with a ZERO grade. Students can re-submit the resume and/or cover letter once after visiting the Career Centre and/or English tutoring for assistance.
