Haphazard Data

Consider your business or another business with which you are familiar. Describe data that is still being manipulated in a haphazard and non-organized way. How much longer do you think this haphazard organization of data will continue before a more formal alternative will be explored?

Resistance to Change

Changing how data is stored and organized often means change for the people in the system too. Change may mean new procedures and loss of control for some. Change is resisted by a lot of people. Discuss a situation you were involved in where resistance to change was encountered. Did change or resistance win out? Why? What could have been done to make things easier or help those with the most resistance buy-in to the change?

Cloud Computing

Briefly, research a cloud service. It can be software as service, platform as service or infrastructure as service. Describe the service you found, its cost and how it is best utilized. What security issues does the service expose its users to? How can those issues be addressed?

The Slippery Slope [Ethics]

Choose one of the databases from the examples listed. Start your post with a few sentences introducing the database you have selected. Provide enough information in the introduction that others get a grasp of what data is stored so they too will have a basis to make judgments about the ethics involved. After having considered the database of your choice you are to offer three scenarios:

An example of a use of this database that is CLEARLY ethical.

An example of a use of this database that is on the line between being ethical and not ethical.

An example of a use of this database that is CLEARLY NOT ethical.
