Case Analysis Paper

Using the Sanchez case, the textbooks, and five current scholarly, empirical references, you will discuss/analyze/assess the development of two family members presented in the case scenario.

All references need to be current (no more than five years old).

1.) Provide an introduction which prepares the reader for the areas that will be explored in the paper.

2.) Introduce and present the individuals you will be analyzing in this paper.

3.) Apply theory from the person-in-environment lens, one applicable theory from the biopsychosocial lens, one applicable theory from the sociocultural lens, and one applicable theory from the social change lens.

4.) Present your understanding of the dynamics of the family. Do you see patterns from one generation to the next? What resources (community, family, social, etc) are available to the family? Note the protective and risk factors as seen through a strength perspective?

5.) Summarize your case analysis and draw final conclusions.

Social Change Lens
Clear definition of lens (macro-focused, systems of oppression, focus on social (in)justice, and change occurring through groups of individuals taking collective action). Theory or theories selected are appropriate to the lens. The theory and lens are thoroughly and appropriately applied to each family member.

Use of Literature
References: at least 5 current (in the last 5 years), peer-reviewed articles from the professional literature (1 reference can include the Rogers text).

Quality of Writing
Clarity and thoroughness of discussion. Quality of written work, including proofreading for spelling and grammatical errors, and inclusion of formal introduction and conclusion.
