To obtain ICD-9-CM codes in the Encoder set the date of discharge to before 10-1-15. 3M

Use the ICD-11 Coding tool to obtain the ICD-11 code.

NOTE: Type the diagnosis word into the search box.

Use Snomed CT browser located to obtain the Snomed information.

NOTE: Enter in ICD-10-Code into the search by code box and then select from list.

Part 2: Research the purposes and uses of these four classification systems (ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, ICD-11, and Snomed).

Develop a 2-page APA formatted paper which compares and contrasts these four classification systems.

Be sure to include who uses the systems, what the systems are, when the systems are used, where the systems are used, and why the systems are used. Also, explain the importance of mapping between the systems and how that data dictionary, data modeling and data warehousing is related to data mapping. Have at least two peer-reviewed references.

HINT: Be sure to include Snomed's relationship/use in the EHR.

Part 3: Submit the mapping table and APA paper for grading
