Prepare for this writing Assignment by thoroughly reading the case study - Five Stars. In order to understand and evaluate the philosophy of control in performance that may create different results depending on the contexts of the organizational environment.

Managers in all organizations are responsible for controlling quality and performance. This can be accomplished with a wide variety of approaches, models, techniques, and systems. The key point is that no one methodology is right. It takes thoughtful analysis to determine what controls work best, and why. This is true for any organization.
