Application: Interview---External Influences
External influences can affect health care organizations in many different ways. For this Application Assignment, you will interview a health care administrator about the impact of external influences on his or her organization, and the perspectives needed to manage effectively in an ever-changing environment. In addition, you will apply the principles of scholarly writing in your submitted assignment.
Use the Week 4 Interview document as a guide for conducting your interview.
After the interview, compare and contrast the knowledge shared with the information presented in the Learning Resources and the research you conducted for the Discussion. What are some potential implications of these external influences for health care organizations? How will the knowledge and awareness you have gained this week inform your continued development as a health care administrator?
As you prepare to prepare your response to this assignment, review the principles of scholarly writing presented in the media segments about scholarly writing, the Pocket Guide to APA Style, and through the Walden Writing Center. Review the Application Assignment and Research Paper Rubric provided in the Course Info area-you will be evaluated using all four criteria.
With this in mind, prepare a 1- to 2-page paper in which you:
•Summarize key insights from the interview related to one or more external influences
•Describe some of the potential implications of these external influences for health care organizations
•describe how the knowledge and awareness you have gained will inform your continued development as a health care administrator going forward
