Accounting Information Systems Assignment
This assignment requires students to complete training/research for a selected course topic.
REQUIREMENTS - Synthesize an understanding of Microsoft (MS) Visio Professional (Pro) and create a blank template for use in class. MS Visio Pro is available in selected computer labs (see Blackboard). The following resources have been posted to Blackboard or are readily available online.

Briefly respond to the following:
1. Microsoft (MS) Visio Functions. Review MS Visio functions.
a. MS Visio Atomic Learning Tutorials. Complete Visio 2016 tutorials: All (required). List the modules completed and provide a brief summary of what you learned within each module (Note: You do not have to provide a synopsis of each individual tutorial video within each module).
b. MS Visio Pro. Open MS Visio and explore the software. Summarize core structure, elements, and capabilities of the application.
2. Alternatives to MS Visio. Identify one alternative to MS Visio. Compare the alternative's capabilities to MS Visio's capabilities. Is the alternative you selected comparable? Explain.
3. MS Visio Template. Create a blank Visio drawing containing the required shapes stencil menus to use as a template in class. Follow the instructions in the MS Visio Basics course notes (posted on Blackboard under the "Course Notes" button) in the section entitled "To create a blank drawing file (as a template)" to construct your template. Note: Your template must contain specified shapes stencil menus; however, there is no need to include a diagram/drawing in your .vsdx file, as the purpose of this requirement is to provide you with a blank ready-made Visio template for use in completing course assignments).
