The Bully Cure

A five day suspension is a good first step, yet not a cure. Bullying is a repeatedly aggressive behavior between children that shows a power imbalance, and it needs to be stopped. Thus, a five day suspension will not solve the problem; it will just put it on hold. It is possible to stop bullying through interviews, parental involvement, and expulsion. To start with, it is important to have interviews between teachers, parents, and students. Teachers-parents interviews are extremely important to know more about the kids’ behavior and background. For example, kids may act different in front of teachers than in front of parents or other kids. So, these interviews will allow teachers to know more about the kids conduct, strengths, and weaknesses; this would help teachers to know if a kid has a tendency to be a bully. Also, it is essential to have teacher-students interviews; this will allow teachers to know if kids are being bullied at school, by social network, or text messages. In addition, parental involvement is necessary. Parents should take their kids to a psychologist to know if their kids have any problem related to anger management or superiority to others. Also, parents should talk to their children about never using violence as a weapon. Finally, schools should use expulsion as a last resort.  Schools should warn their students about being expelled if they have any type of attitude related to bullying. For example, if a kid in a school is bullying other kid, and he or she gets suspended for five day, and when coming back from the suspension continues bullying, the school will expel him or her. Just special schools should accept those kids who were expelled from schools because they were bullying others. In conclusion, to stop bullying at schools it is necessary to have interviews, parental involvement, and expulsion. If everyone helps bullying could be stop.
