1. Watch “Starwood: Process Analysis” on the Operations Management Video Library DVD and read the Video Case “Process Analysis at Starwood” at the end of Chapter 4 in the textbook. Also review other source material, including your textbook, related specifically to Starwood or other organizations that have had similar activities and experiences. 

2. After a thorough analysis of the Video and other materials that you have reviewed, prepare your third report to Starwood, entitled “Starwood: Process Analysis”. Your report will include the following issues: 

a. How specifically can management improve the stewarding process at The Phoenician? 

b. Using the information provided above, create a flowchart illustrating the new process that can be used at The Phoenician. 

c. What are the benefits that the POI program can bring to Starwood? Can these benefits be extended to other processes and properties within the Starwood system? 

d. Of the seven mistakes organizations make when managing processes, which ones might Starwood be most at risk of making? Why? 

3. The report is to be 7 - 8 pages in length, which includes the Title Page and the Reference Page, and should cite at least three sources. 

4. The report must be prepared in compliance with the APA formatting standards and is to use the following outline: 

• Title Page 

• Introduction 

• Body of Text (with appropriate paragraph and sub-paragraph headings) 

• Conclusion 

• References 

• Appendixes (if required)
