  • Discover one scholarly article and one news article on the topic of team leaders.
  • Prepare to discuss the outcomes of your search and observations you made from both articles. Note the values of researching topics between scholarly and news venues.

Describe the process of becoming a team member.

Instructions
Becoming a team member requires an open thought process and a willingness to cooperate. Members must be willing to participate collaboratively with a group of people to accomplish a task.

  • Read Chapters 3-4 in the textbook by Maxwell.
  • Read pages 28-115 in the textbook by Lencioni.
  • Write a 1-page response entry giving your understanding, insights, and foundations to why becoming a team member is important in the work force, church, home setting or any other area you believe you will work in teams.
  • It is not necessary to apply a formatting style for this assignment except when using a source to support your writing.

3. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS EXERCISE
Identify personal characteristics of a valuable team member.

Instructions
Team members must be open-minded, collaborative, and willing to consider others ideas and perspectives. Honest, ethical, cooperative, engaging, and responsible are additional characteristics of a valuable team member.

  • Create a list of at least 15 characteristics that you believe is important for a team member.
  • Compile a 1- page listing the characteristics, justifying why each of the characteristics is important.
  • It is not necessary to apply a formatting style for this assignment except when using a source to support your writing.
