Your presentation should be on the literary text for that week (e.g., Letters from Rifka) and any other texts or topics from that week that you may wish to discuss. In your presentation, you will present a discussion question for the class to ponder and then provide your own response to that question in approximately 400 words. Examples of helpful discussion questions might be, "How do the events in Letters from Rifka break with common ideals of American childhood?," "What does Esperanza Rising teach readers about the history of migrant farm labor in the U.S. and its effect on children's lives?," or "Why is it important to read the Malo-Juvera reading in tandem with Speak?" Try to choose a question that is thematically relevant to what we are focusing on in class, either during that particular week (e.g., ideals of childhood in Week 2) or overall, shedding some light on American childhood more broadly through your interpretation of the text. Also, before you post, make sure that your presentation is well-organized and that your writing is polished and professional! All of these elements will factor into the grading for your presentation.
