Your hypothetical employer, Park University, continues to be very pleased with your feedback and documentation on initial modeling efforts to support the new and coming payroll database. So far in this effort, the University has come to the realization that although the word databases or data management sounds simple, the simplicity quickly becomes a critical and even strategic process which requires careful thought at both the critical and analytical levels.

Now that suggestions for both entities and attributes have been identified and considered to support conceptual and logical models, Park University wants to go further into the development of these models more into areas of understanding database keys, table relationships, normalization and data dictionaries. Park University has requested information and has asked you to address the following questions:

Based on the thoughts and suggested logical model for the payroll database, what ideas do you have currently about mapping cardinalities. Based on these relationships, what ideas did you use for primary and foreign keys to relate tables suggested and could there be instances where tables could have composite or multiple field keys? Defend your answer in scholarly detail!!

Based on the thoughts of both the logical and even physical models in this case, what ideas do you have currently about normalization. Going even further with aspects and theory of database normalization, would there be any reasons in this case to go beyond the 3rd normal form toward the Boyce-Codd Normal Form? Defend your answer in scholarly detail!!

When thinking beyond the conceptual and even logical models of the payroll database, could a data dictionary be helpful before actual creation of tables in the physical model? Defend your answer in scholarly detail!!

Finally, now that you have gone through thoughts of the conceptual and logical models along with a data dictionary, use a drawing software like Microsoft Visio or another of choice to diagram a physical model of this payroll database offer reasoning to your design and diagram to support the conclusions of this paper.

Include any other important conclusions or content you see fit to support this assignment.

Assignment Tip: When thinking about a payroll database, there could be many variations and use all you learned from the first two weeks along with this week to diagram your suggested payroll database. Using research to find example physical models of payroll databases will give support and spark ideas.
