Your director is writing a grant application and needs information from you regarding a potential division that you would likely lead.
The grant is intended to secure the first three years of funding for the development of a non-profit community services division.
The more thorough and precise you are in completing this task, the more likely you are to secure funds.
Make sure to write a compelling summary that promotes the possible impact while also providing objective information as support.
Write a 2-3 page summary description of the primary characteristics of your non-profit division:
• What is your division title & mission statement?
• Who and where do we serve?
• What do we provide and when do we provide it?
• What logic, reasoning, and assumptions help set up the division goals and scope?
Additionally, include in an appendix for information that supports your reasoning in the summary.
This supporting information could be lists, tables, charts, graphs, or other documentation that helps explain the arguments you make in the summary.
Make sure to label these as appendices Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.
The supporting documentation must be clearly connected to information included in your summary and must validate the arguments you make. Last, make sure to provide citations for your sources and include a reference page.
The formatting requirements are as follows:
• 12-point Times New Roman Font, with 1" margins
• Double-spaced, full sentences and paragraphs, be well-written and organized
• Use section headings, which must be bolded and in 12-point font
• Original work is required; cite sources, if applicable, in APA format.
• The summary, each appendix, and reference page should start a new page (use page breaks)

The Children's Division provides three services:

RULES: At a maximum, you can serve residents of 1 county in the state of Georgia. The after school care service must be limited to kids ages 5-12. No schools are available as locations for this service. The last parent pick up can be no later than 6:30 p.m. Babysitting services are available 24 hours x 7 days a week; however, it must be scheduled in advance.
POSSIBLE THINGS TO CONSIDER: Locations for services? Transportation needed? Vehicles acquired? What after school programs? What schools within the county will be served? Special needs kids served? Snacks provided? Partnerships considered? Hours for each service? Revenue streams - fee for service or grants or both?

• Meal Delivery
• Transportation to Appointments
• Non-skilled Homecare
RULES: At a maximum, you can only serve residents of 1 county in the state of Georgia. The first doctor's appointment of the day is at 7:30 a.m. and the last doctor's appointment of the day is at 4:30 p.m. Homecare Babysitting services are available 24 hours x 7 days a week; however, it must be scheduled in advance.
POSSIBLE THINGS TO CONSIDER: Length of appointments & transportation? Serving qualifying residents, but do you transport to out of county appointments? Veteran implications? Medical needs limitations?
