You will be asked to respond to questions related to the reading (CHAPTER 3, 4) source below

1) What are challenges that parties face in state and local elections?

2) What are different roles that parties play in politics? 

3) What are different forms of participation, beyond the voting booth?

4) How are interest groups different at the state level from the federal level?

5) Why do interest groups impact state and local politics?

Write all the answers as an essay AT LEAST 2 FULL PAGES.

Please answer these questions orderly, the first three should be answered in at least one page, and the last two questions should be answered in at least one page.

Your journal entries will be graded based on the following criteria: 

1) theoretical ideas and frameworks from the READING, respond to each question separately

2) succinctly answers the question you are posing,

3) uses proper spelling, grammar, paragraph structures, etc.,

4) cites all ideas not your own, uniformly.  The better journal entries will be well developed and will show that you have carefully considered the question and your response.
