Stress can negatively affect a person's personal, psychological, and health characteristics. Stress can lead to a number of outcomes. Stress can affect an individual outside their work life.

Our book states that stress can make a person mad or angry which can then result with family members being hurt, loss of a job, or even trouble with the law. A person can even begin to lose 50 to 100 strands of hair a day because of stress (Aamondt, 2014).

Things like this of course occur in times with high levels of stress. Stress can also affect an individual with an organization. Work itself can be stressful and can cause a person to burnout.

They become overwhelmed with the difficult demands and needs of company. Signs of a burnout include forgetfulness, less energy, less productivity, and decreased concertation just to name a few (Aamondt, 2014).

Mira Smith has recognized that something should be done about the high levels of stress taking place in the workplace she manages. I believe Smith should find someone that is certified in providing stress coping classes for the employees.

This would educate the employees in the dangers of stress within the workplace and how it could affect their lives at home and their physical appearance. The classes should of course also provide the employees with different solutions to how to deal and prevent stress.

Since the stress level of this job is usually always high more than likely there were employees that were already negatively affected by stress and if that is the case, with the classes the productivity of the company should increase.
