You have learned about Strict Liability in Products Liability--Restatement of Torts § 402A.Proponents of this concept state that it has made products safer & that the costs of testing & insurance against product defects can be best borne by the manufacturer of that product. Critics say that the § 402A concept has slowed down products introduction & anyway, manufacturers just pass their costs on to the consumer. Is § 402A a good idea on balance? Why do say what you say?
