You are the manager of a human resource department. Your managerial responsibility is to manage the staff and plan the budget for the department. The administrative functions are to organize and coordinate HR events for the company and coordinate staff vacation. An employee from one of the departments, Sue, is upset because she feels the working conditions of her department are not conducive so she wants to retire. Sue called your office and told your staff she is going to shoot her manager, Tom, because he is disrespectful and will not allow her to take time off. This department is strict with attendance and productivity. Also, the manager is known for being abrasive.

As the human resource manager how would you handle this situation?
