You are the HR Manager for your company and is trying to recruit for a public relations manager. You have candidates so far have university degrees and high grades from good universities. A 55 year old with 30 years in the PR field but no university experience applies. This 55 year old works in the company already, in its PR department but in a lower position.

THE CEO is anxious to fill the role cause of events coming up. You suggest that another staff member who has not applied for the position be considered.

In memo format, write a two to four page justification report to the CEO and your manager, outlining the progress made so far in filling the post, making recommendations for the position to be filled by a 4th person who had not applied at all and most importantly, justifying your proposal that this particular person can best fill the position.
