Write a formal outline for a persuasive speech from the preparation outline provided( topic, thesis statement, and main points are in the preparation outline), strictly follow the procedure given in the example of the formal outline.

Persuasive Speech
Speech to persuade attempt to change a listener in some way. Dispositional persuasive speeches attempt to change listener's beliefs, values, or attitudes about something. Actuation persuasive speeches, on the other hand, go a step beyond dispositional speeches to also attempt to change the behavior of the listeners and/or change some faction of society. For example, if I tried to convince you that recycling is a good thing to do, that is a dispositional persuasive speech. If I also try to get you to change your recycling habits, then I am engaged in an actuation persuasive speech. Dispositional persuasive speeches tend to focus on claims of fact or questions of value, where as actuation persuasive speeches tend to focus on claims of policy. Ethos, Pathos, and logos should be implemented into the speech.

Theses statements that arise from claims of fact are focused on something people believe may or may not be true. Debate exists as to whether or not the fact is, indeed, a fact. The question may be about whether something actually happed or not (i.e., evolution vs. creation). The question might be about whether something does or does not exist (there is/there is not intelligent life on other planets). The question might be causal (smoking does/does not cause cancer). Or the question of fact might come in the form of a prediction (the Minnesota Vikings will/will not win the Super Bowl next year). Claims of fact, then, are thesis statements focused on a debatable issue that attempt to convince listeners that something: Did or did not exist, Does or does not exist, Does or does not cause, Will or will not occur

Claims of value also help shape a thesis statement for a dispositional persuasive speech. Claims of value focus on a debatable belief about what is good/bad, moral/immoral, "right"/"wrong," just/unjust, and so forth.

Claims of policy shape a thesis statement for an actuation persuasive speech. They attempt to change behavior by calling listeners to action to solve a problem. The thesis statement is usually phrased in a way that uses the words "should" or "should not." It always implies action of some kind.
