Write a final report based off of Finite elements knowledge as follows:

Final Report must include:

1. Explanation of the presented problem and the variables there in.

2. Theoretical solution to the problem with clearly defined assumptions, steps to solution and final results

3. Finite elements model solution in MatLab

4. Finite elements model solution via perimeters in APDL

5. The code of the above solutions

Part 1: Analyzation of finite element model of a beam in different cases:

1. Static test with a point force and a distributed force on an area

2. Axial force applied on a beam

3. Resident frequency

4. Dynamic harmonic analyzation based off of a a sinus due to a single force and movement of the base

5. Dynamic transient analyzation based off of a force that changes in time due to a single force and movement of the base

Parameters: length of the beam, cross section area, moment of inertia for bending, point force and location on the beam, distributed force and location on the beam, axial pressure, the material of the beam (density, model young, poisson ratio), and end conditions. number of elements for the length of the beam.

The end conditions possible that the system must work in: simply supported on both ends, fixed supported on both ends, fixed at one end and simply supported on one end, and fixed supported and free on one end.

Forces possible: point force placed anywhere on the beam, axial force, and distributed load placed anywhere for any length on the beam.

Part 2: Create a finite element model using the APDL program for the submerged body (in the image on the last page of the original attached file) and do the analyzation of the static model and bending model.

The body itself is made of a cylindrical part with a external radius of 4000 mm and length of 12000 mm, with 2 joint coverings on the ends in the shape of a half circle, such that the overall length is 16000 (view the image on page 4 for reference). In the cylindrical part there are T shaped peripheral ribs, as described int he image. The distance between each rib is equal. The internal radius must be at least 3500 mm (referring to that of the cylinder).

Geometric Perimeters for the image:

Length of the cylinder - 12000 mm

Radius of the cylinder outside the plate thickness - 4000 mm

Radius of the half spheres at the ends outside the plate thickness - 2000 mm

Distance between the T reinforcement and the walls of the cylinder - Must be equal on both ends (100 mm (may be changed to fit requirements))

Number of T reinforcement - 5 (may be changed to fit requirements)

Web height of the T reinforcement - 75 mm (may be changed to fit requirements)

Length of the T reinforcement - 50 mm (may be changed to fit requirements)

Thickness of the cylinder - 200 mm (may be changed to fit requirements)

Thickness of the end spheres - 200 mm (may be changed to fit requirements)

Thickness of the Web in the T reinforcement - 20 mm (may be changed to fit requirements)

Thickness of the Flange in the T reinforcement - 20 mm (may be changed to fit requirements)

Forces applied:

External pressure - 1000 kPa

Safety factor for buckling - 2

Yield Safety factor - 1.5

Material:

Steel Fe360 with yield strength of 235 MPa, elastic model of 205 GPa, and poisson ratio of 0.3.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE MET:

- A copy of all the codes of both the MatLab and APDL that was used for the solutions of the project.

- Any sources that were used in solving the project (placed at the end of the document)

- A conclusion section
