Write a 6 page rough draft paper of a project that would require team execution-a team that includes you as a participant.

*The chosen project is that I will be working with a team to write a grant proposal for a Non-Profit organization that is trying to secure funding for its Gerontology Department.

*My role in this team is that of organizational historian i.e. I provide up to date content/information on organizational history, mission, projects, as well as any documentation that might be needed such as board lists, audited financial statements, incorporation papers, profiles of team members and any partner organizations.

The other team members are:

The Grant Lead: Also known as the grant developer, this person is delegated the responsibility for team leadership on the grant. They define the process, assign grant tasks, and manage the timeline.

The Grant Researcher: The work with identifying funding programs with high relevance to the activities of the organization.

The Grant Analyst: This person summarizes the grant requirements and provides the information to key individuals with the organization about how to proceed and also let's everyone know what key requirements need to be met.

The Organization Historian: Myself

The Grant Writer: This is the person who takes all the information that everyone has gathered and researched and crafts it into a coherent argument that is presented as one voice through the document. They are responsible for the style, grammar and format of the proposal.

The Collaboration Organizer: This person is responsible for the collaborative effort. They send invitation to team members, organize meetings according to the time-line; they reach out to people for content, and make sure everyone has all the needed materials, signatures, and support letters.

*Think about the insights you've gained from the class readings and discussions as well as your own experiences in team design and project execution. You should also begin thinking about what you have learned about team creation, organization, and leadership functions needed to achieve successful projection completion, and thoughts about your participation and contribution to the team process as a leader, manager, or follower.
