Based upon your observation of a particular section of Toys R Us and a toy within that section, what does your analysis of your section and toy reveal about a toy'a role in a child's life? Would you purchase this toy for your child? Why or why not?

2. Users vs. Creators
3. Material (how the material effects the child and represents humanity)
Also, define what Roland Barthes sees as an ideal toy.
Hint: Is the toy fulfilling what Barthes argues is an ideal toy's purpose? Or does the toy follow the pattern that Barthes saw occuring in France over fifty years ago (meaning that the toy is creating users, not creators and little adults that are stripped of their humanity)?
