With this upcoming paper, it will be important find a company that can expand on due to the paper being between 2500 - 3000 words. The topics we are dealing with are antitrust and consumer protection. So...I would start by just simply googling companies that have violated either of the topics. Two I know of but haven't read in depth are Apple and American Express (NOTE: I am not necessarily recommending these but you could check them out to see if their case is substantial enough to write about it).

Course objective:

CO1 Assess the legal environment of business.

CO2 Explain how ethical frameworks shape business decisions.

CO10 Assess laws applying to antitrust and consumer protection.

Instructions:

Research a company that has been in the news due to a consumer protection or antitrust problem. Define and discuss the legal concepts that relate to consumer protection or antitrust. Also, clearly define and evaluate three additional legal topics (besides antitrust and consumer protection) that were discussed in the text and that apply to the company. (Hint: Review the table of contents of the textbook and use the text in your analysis.) Identify the ethical dilemma that the scenario presents and evaluate two ethical frameworks that applied to management's decisions.

Reflect on the class discussions and the articles that you have read during the class and use the information, and other academic sources to write a 2500- 3000 word essay critiquing the company, its operations, and the ethical dilemma it caused. Use at least seven credible sources for your essay, including at least two sources from the University library. Proper citation and references in APA 6th ed. format are required.

You must use the following sub-headers in your essay:

Antitrust or Consumer Protection

Three legal concepts

(List out each legal concept in its own sub-header)

Ethical Dilemma

Ethical Frameworks
