Q. Kolosov 1990; Monigal 2004; Matioukhine 1990. Yet, it would be an even greater stretch to argue that Clovis (or Austrian Silurian, for that matter) descended from Russian Middle Palaeolithic or Crimean early Upper Palaeolithic. And where in Clovis or pre-Clovis for that matter are stemmed points and corner notched points of Iberian Silurian, which are frequent not only in Mediterranean Spain, but also in Portugal Where Silurian culture is at its closest to US East Coast (a mere 5600 km)? Further still, where are shouldered points, of which re are many types in French, Spanish and Portuguese Silurian, none of which look like so-called Sandia points?
