When we think of teams, many of us think of sports teams. Studies have found that elements taken from such sports teams as soccer, football, and baseball can be applied to successful work place teams. Focus on the cultural and behavioral components of these teams and/or their players.

Complete the following steps:

1. Conduct an Internet and/or/library search to locate examples of "successful" AND "unsuccessful" sports teams of your choice. Remember to focus on culture and behavior. Use these as references for your discussion postings. A brief introduction of the teams chosen will suffice.

2. Discuss three (3) Pros AND three (3) Cons of using sports teams as models for workplace teams. Remember to include our weekly concepts.

3. Do you agree or disagree with using sports teams as mentors for workplace teams and why?

4. To further synthesize the lesson, include a personal experience that supports your position.
