A group of civil servants comprising 26 Clerical Officers, 16 Executive Officers and 6 Administrative Officers followed an introductory course in Statistics. At the end of the course, everyone was asked to say whether they were very satisfied, satisfied or not satisfied with the course. Among the Clerical Officers, 18 were very satisfied, 5 were satisfied and the rest were not satisfied. The corresponding figures for ‘very satisfied' and ‘satisfied' for the Executive Officers were 12 and 3; those for Administrative Officers were 0 and 2

(i) Tabulate the information given above. You may wish to use the table to answer the questions which follow

(ii) What is the probability that someone selected at random from the group is

(a) Very satisfied with the course

(b) Very satisfied or satisfied with the course?

(iii) What is the probability that someone selected at random from the group is very satisfied with course given that he is a Clerical Officer?

(iv) Given that someone is satisfied with the course, what is the probability that he is an Administrative Officer?

(v) What is the probability that someone from the group is an Executive Officer and is not satisfied with the course?
