Rickets is a disease of children resulting from a Vitamin D and calcium deficiency causing bone to be abnormally shaped and weak. It affects the growing skeleton.

SSx include malformed bones, pain, poorly formed teeth that can cause decay.

Bowed-legs, knocked knees, enlarged head and "pigeon chest" can occur.
