And communication have understandably focused on critical concerns instead of functional concerns, pursuing questions such as the following: What is lost as well as gained in a digital age? Who profits from particular technological arrangements? Who is left behind and for what reasons in technological settings? And, in those settings, what is privileged in terms of literacy and learning and cultural capital?
