What are the risk if I stop taking Viread? It's because I want to breastfeed my baby girl? I'm taking Viread as a treatment to my Hep B infection and I'm pregnant. So far, everything are fine with my baby. My baby will be born within 2 months time. I plan to breastfeed my baby. I make a lot of research online and there are so many opinions given. Some said that based on the studies on chimpanzee, only 0.4% were absorb into the milk,so it's safe to breastfeed while taking the viread while others said that it's better not to breastfeed as there are no studies on the baby taking mother's milk that contain small % of viread. Both opinion were given by different doctors.
