Webster Cleaning, LLC is a janitorial services company incorporated in the State of Arkansas. It has employees in Bentonville, Jonesboro, Little Rock, and El Dorado. Recently, employees at the Bentonville and El Dorado sites who are dissatisfied with their wages and benefits have discussed forming an employee union. They intend to meet with employees at the other locations to discuss unionization. They may also call in a national labor organization, such as SEIU, to help organize the workers.

Webster’s CEO, Angela Martin, has decided that the company will take an anti-union position. What specific strategies should the company use to dissuade employees from joining the union? Please provide examples of strategies that other companies have used to successfully dissuade unionization while avoiding an unfair labor practice (ULP) charge. (Provide citations to any examples). If a company used a strategy that was found to be a ULP, explain how that strategy could be modified so that it would not result in a ULP charge.

Please write a strategy memo to Mrs. Martin outlining an effective anti-union strategy for Webster Cleaning, LLC.
