We are limiting the page length for the question to approximately one page maximum per question, using 12 point font and single spaced.  By "approximately" we mean that you can have an extra line or two for a question, but please don't provide more if you don't really need it.

1. We talked about how the notion of technological determinism applied pretty easily to the printing press. Take one of the technologies listed below and explain how the idea of technological determinism also applies to the technology you have chosen. If you don't believe that technological determinism applies to any of these, you may choose one and argue against it applying.

Hint: go over the definitions for technological determinism that were provided in class, then go over the history of the technology you have chosen, and think about how society was changed through that history.  In your answer, provide a definition of technological determinism, describe the history of the technology you chose and discuss how society was changed through that history.
