Warehouse Equipment

One of your responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager is to secure equipment for use in the warehouse. Here is a list of equipment that is typically required in most modern warehouse operations today.

Equipment:

Stacking frame, Single deep pallet rack, Double deep pallet rack, 4 x 4 four way entry wood pallets, 4 x4 four way entry plastic pallets, Walkie stacker, Counterbalance lift truck (propane), Sideloader truck, Pallet jack, Automated Storage/Retrieval System, Order picker truck, 100 foot roller conveyor, 100 foot belt conveyor

Your assignment is to obtain three prices for each piece of equipment listed - two for new equipment and one for used equipment. Along with the prices of the equipment, you must find two sources of supply for the new equipment and one for used equipment. Also include warranty information if any offer warranty's on the used equipment. Use the internet to locate suppliers. Present your data in the form of a report to your supervisor. Keep in mind that your report is used to make a decision on what items are purchased. Lastly, make a recommendation of which line item you would purchase in your report. Support that recommendation with your research and findings.
