Unit I Project Topic This is a five-phase project that will culminate in an eight- to ten-page Final Essay. In addition to the course textbook, the Final Essay will include a minimum of five peer-reviewed resources.

For this first phase of the assignment, you will write a paper on the topic of your essay. For this topic paper, you will identify the element to be explored and explain why this topic is relevant to the subject of climate change. The objective of the Final Essay is to investigate the impact of climate change on one environmental issue (air quality, water quality, energy conservation, sustainable energy, effects on local or global populations of human and/or animal life, etc.). The explanation could serve as an introduction to the Final Essay.

The topic paper must be at least one page in length. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced. Paraphrased and/or quoted materials must have accompanying citations in APA format.
