The vice president (VP) of your company is fabulous at his job, but his speeches over the years have earned a reputation for being long and disorganized.

You have been asked by the chief executive officer (CEO) to work with and coach the VP on how to best organize a presentation from scratch and deliver it effectively to the intended audience.

Develop a how-to guide for your VP on how to best get started. You will want to assume he has never had formal training in how to best prepare and deliver a speech, so consider basic speech training when you prepare your guide.

Include instructions on each of the following:

•Choosing and developing the most appropriate topic

•Considering your audience

•Researching appropriate sources

•Preparing and organizing the speech

•Making it interesting
