Q. Two individuals talk a deal, one writes up a hand written agreement, with name of the other in the body of the agreement. Then the first guy signs it at the bottom. The deal consists of trading vehicles; neither individual have a clear title. The second guy agrees to pay additional $2,500. But agrees to have the title put in someone else name. Later, within 72 hours the first guy repossesses the traded car, leaving second guy out a truck and $2500.00 dollars in essence receiving nothing. Is this legal in Texas?
