Topic: You are a new graduate employee of an enterprise that makes and sells Elerium direct to the consumer via a network of 10 retail outlets around Australian and to an international market online.  Elerium sales are declining and your manager has been told the firm must become more innovative, but he does not quite understand why. Knowing you studied creativity and innovation at university, he asks you to prepare a report to brief him on the imperative for innovation.  In your report:

• Define creativity and explain its relationship to critical thinking.
• Define innovation and explain what it is and use 3 different forms of innovation to help your explanation.
• Use the Global Innovation Index to compare Australia's performance on the seven innovation pillars with another country, and explain what the results tell you about Australia's innovation compared to this other country.
• Explain why creativity and innovation are important to any country.
