Social Entrepreneurship Proposal -

Social Problems:

  • Providing cheaper Housing, Innovative ways of recycling items and garbage, Indigenous education and unemployment.
  • Youth Involvement in solving social problems innovatively
  • Effective Management of the social enterprises
  • Lack of funds for the continuity of the social enterprises

Solution to Problem:

Youth Social Enterprise Program (Providing the selected young social entrepreneurs with leadership skills to sustainably run their social enterprises and giving them access to loans for continuity based on ability and performance)

Mission:              

To promote leadership skills among the young Social entrepreneurs for the effective and sustainability of social Enterprises that focus on housing, recycling and indigenous employment (economic activities based on their culture).

Vision: 

To promote positive social impact for the society and environment through involving and empowering innovative youth social enterprises.

The Program:

Select five young and Innovative social entrepreneurs that have been given funding and grants for their innovative social enterprise either by the government or other funding companies that we would have partnerships with. Put them in a one year program where they will be trained by other successful social entrepreneurs and assigned to mentors whom have successfully done well in the same area of social impact to guide them through the process. They will meet once a month throughout the year for knowledge workshops, networking and presentations. After they finish the one year program, they would graduate with a leadership certificate, get networks and have access to a bank that can provide them with future loans at better rates if and when required, depending on their eligibility.

Social Benefits to SEFA:

  • Social impact from promoting cheaper housing, innovative recycling, Indigenous education and indigenous employment.
  • Helping the youth become successful social entrepreneurs.
  • Helping sustain social enterprises

Economic Benefit to SEFA:

Future borrowers (Customers to SEFA), therefore income from the loan interests.
