Using the portfolio, you completed for your first assignment as a 'model', you are now required to choose ONE topic from weeks 6-12 (I chose learning environments)to write a reflective essay on learning in relation to a personal specific episode of learning. ?To complete this essay, you are expected to reflect on, analyze and explain personal insights of yourself as a learner also using the associated readings you explored in the tutorial/workshop activities during weeks 6-12. ?The essay will consist of:
1. A description of a personal learning episode that will be the focus of your reflection of learning.
2. A discussion where you will define and explain learning and the factor you have chosen as affecting learning by making explicit ?and meaningful links between weekly lectures, tutorials and most importantly, unit readings (both text and articles).
3. A reflection where you relate the learning factor to your personal learning experience. This will mean analyzing your personal ?learning experience and making sense of it so as to begin to better understand yourself as a learner.
4. An explanation of your insights into yourself as a learner (i.e., what you now understand, and what the implications are for you as ?a pre-service teacher seeking to understand more about learning).
