How does Ovid represent the position of women in his text? What roles do women fill?  Do women appear to have rights, whether idealistically or in practice?  Are women portrayed as having agency or power?  Which women?  What are the sources of power for those women who do demonstrate agency? What might this suggest about Roman cultural attitudes toward women?
